Finally conjured up an UNC example of 1943D RPM-001 (FS-501) - it's in a slab making photographing a little more challenging - but the D is oh so much more stronger than the AU example I photographed about a year or so ago.
I have one of these in BU. If I had known you wanted to photograph it, I would have sent it to you. I agree completely that these example show significantly better in this condition. The other mint mark seems so much stronger and easier to see.

Certainly EDS. I feel like the price on this one has come down as more and more slabbed BU coins keep popping up. Still not cheap though...
