    1955S-FS-501 (RPM-001) NGC 66 RD eBay pick

I picked this one unattributed in a lot of 3 different 1955-S MS66RDs. This one was the only of the three with close ups, but you still couldn't see the RPMs. I went on MM placement and the die chip on the left wheat. Got all 3 for $26 + $7 priority shipping. I'm gonna sell the other 2 so I should have next to nothing in this one. Thanks gang!

Sweet find!! You are one of the best pickers I've seen Jay! Check out the pics I posted on this post. It was you that led me to this guy on the bay for $16! Thanks again! (http://www.lincolncentforum.com/foru...-1998-Close-AM)

Shoot yeah! I remember that. That seller had listed 2 and I got 1 and linked the other. You know, I try my best to look at every '98-S & '99-S that goes on eBay. I haven't seen any since listed unattributed. I have picked and flipped 2 or 3 '99s since then, but zero '98s. I'm very happy you were able to get that one!

Nice RPM pick, that looks like a nice 66! A lot of cartwheel and nice color!

The dot is a great way to ID it from pics.

Excellent pick... Could this be a minor DDO also??? Comparing yours with CCs http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=eds (EDS) and VVs (Stage A thru C) http://varietyvista.com/02a%20LC%20R...955SRPM001.htm there is a knub jutting north off the 1 extending above the top of the 955 on all the samples... Similar to what we see on the L of LIBERTY... Also could be me over anal eyesing again

After your post I started researching it. I got the coin back out to glass it very well. I also noticed two other small bumps that looked like weaker hubbed doubling. Each are seen on the lower left side of the TY of LIBERTY. I see nothing else anywhere. So I got out the other 2 MS66s. One is an earlier die state like the RPM-001. The places above the 1 & the lower left of TY on it show well. The other is a later die state coin. The bumps beside the TY are barely visible, and I can't make out anything above the 1. I think it could be master die related, or at the least, working hub related. I am going to search out that list of master die doubling on Lincolns and I'll let you know what I find out.

Oh I forgot. Look closely at the 1 and TY on this one. It matches. http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20D...955SDDO001.htm

That could be a MDD issue... Checking out CCs 1MM-002 (MDS) http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=mds I do not see it on the 1... Unfortunately there is no pic of the TY... Looking at CCs 1MM-012 (MDS)
http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=mds they knubs look to be there!!!

Added - The MDD list that Bob provided http://www.lincolncentforum.com/foru...930s-thru-1979 has MDD on the 55 P, D and S but not on the date and not just the TY... It shows the upper BE of LIBERTY and lower LIBERTY!!!

It looks like the most I am going to have in this coin is $1.56! I paid $26 shipped for the 3 NGC MS66s. One already sold for $14.99 with free shipping. The other is on now with a bid of $14.99. I guess technically you could add $1.08 for the two bubble mailers, but still...it was a steal!
