    1926P-1DO-002

I found this one in the wheats I am searching. I think it is the one discovered by BigRig 52 and posted on Coppercoins by Bob. Thanks for looking.

Looks like it to me too. Nice find! Wonder why VV doesn't have this variety attributed yet?

I do not believe this coin to be 1DO-002. The eyelid looks to be shorter and further north than 1DO-002. It looks similar to 1DO-003 but the angle look a bit off to me. It would need an overlay to say much on that one.

Keep in mind at least 5 unlisted 1926 eyelids exist. I have one sent in (listed as WDDO-005 but not yet online), but the others are either with my friend John (stoneman227) for photography, or in storage with eventual hopes to be listed by Wexler when I have openings to send them in.

Thanks for your insight Dan!! I haven't learned how to do overlays but would welcome someone to use my pics to do an overlay. Thanks again Dan!!

Very nice find Larry J! I was thinking more like Coppercoins 1926P-1DO-003 also. I cast my vote for Jim to do an overlay, his are much better than mine are!

Kevin, There are a few reasons why some varieties are listed by one attributer, but not others. I think in this case, it is simply that an example has never been sent to VV for inclusion in their system. Another major factor is whether or not the attributer thinks the variety is listable or not.

There is a good reason they do not show - Yours is not CCs 002... I did the overlay of yours over 002 and the secondary eyelid on yours is much closer to the primary eyelid... I am not sure about CCs 003 http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=lds as to me the 1st pic on CCs listing does not look to be the same as the 2nd magnified pic??? The secondary eyelids do not look to be in the same location??? Yours could also be one of the new listings that Dan mentioned??? I have not yet requested permission to use the CC image!!!
