    1911-D/D/D FS-504 / RPM-004. VEDS

    DSC_8336.jpg

I want to shar this 1911-D/D/D FS-504 with the earliest die state I have ever seen.

The repunched mintmark can be seen inside the loop of the primary D and also well southeast of the primary mintmark. This coin is uncirculated condition .

Anyone seen this early state before? Merry Christmas All! Brian

Wow. That’s amazing. So where’s the rest of the coin?

Sweet! Shows very good detail. I have 2 of these now, the better in PCGS 64 BN.

Don't get me wrong, it's great, but in my opinion, that's not what I consider VEDS.

Can’t tell from the pic of the die state but this is definitely stage A of the RPM. I never seen this RPM look like this. Very nice

Opinions on “die state” are entirely subjective, I would be most accurate to say this coin is the earliest STAGE I’ve seen.

                      Sweet coin. Congratulations.

(I happened to look up this variety on CC and realized this is the plate coin for the EDS example.
Then I noticed who provided that example and realized why they looked soooo similar. )
