1985-D new RPM or just flattened MD?

Nothing remotely like it in the listings. I've not seen anything quite like this but I'm leaning towards isolated MD that has been flattened by wear.

Thanks, Lou. There is damage to the tail of the 5 that may also be related to what looks like pushed metal on the RPM. The split is quite typical on these 85's though.

Thanks for looking, Larry. Looks like the pushed metal has created what looks like a split. Back in the out pile it goes.
