The only 1917D RPM listed is WRPM-001. Hard to tell if this one is it because there are no die markers and the location of the mintmark and the date is not clearly shown. Thanks for looking and offering your input.

Interesting coin Larry and you're right about no image of the MM placement on DD.com.
Your 5th image seems to show a lower split serif and Wexlers WRPM-001 has the split on the upper serif. Maybe this is just from die deterioration since it seems to be a late die state coin.
Another thing I noticed on Wexlers image was the MM is perfectly straight across the bottom. Yours seems to curve downward at the tip. Maybe the die deterioration is causing this issue.
Maybe a new one, but the only way to tell for sure might be to send it to Wexler for clarification. -
I truly appreciate that you took the time to look and comment on this one Cliff. I know that it is very hard to evaluate a possible new variety from amateur pics and I know I will have to send it in to have it evaluated. Thanks for your encouraging words.
