    1922 D die pair question

My question is, do all 1922 D’s fall under one of the 4 die pairs listed in Lincoln cent resource or were there more? Thanks for helping. And also as for the lower left of the mint mark, it has to be damage as there are no known RPM’s for this date.

There were supposedly 4 die pairings for the "weak D/ no D" so-called "varieties." There were more dies than just those 4 striking "normal" 1922 Ds. Exactly how many, I don't know, but based on a mintage of 7.2 million, probably around 10. It would be fun to catalog mint mark positions and see how many you can verify .

There are 4 die pairs according to the Lincoln Cent Resource (LCR) that either have the weak D or no D... According to VV there is one listed MM style for the 22D MMS-001... That is a nice split on your lower serif but I can not tell for sure if it is damage or a RPM... That is one you would need to send in to the pros for verification!!!

Thanks Jim and Will. I think I will have it looked at to make sure.
