    1955 D RPM 3 / FS-503

I'm still sifting through that bag of wheats and I found this nice looking 1955D FS-503 / RPM 3. I love the spread on the extra punch. Only the second one I have found ever. Thanks for looking and it is good to know there are still good finds in the bag!

Good eye! Does it look like the mm may have gotten moved a little in circulation?

If you are referring to the anomaly to the east of the primary mint mark, that is the RPM. I guess it does look like the primary mint mark was slid over to the west, but it is actually a wide spread secondary punch.

No, I understand the RPM, the mm placement just looked way off but it's clearly just been moved about a bit.

Oh, forgive me. I see what you're talking about. It's probably a combination of circulation wear and different magnification. Not sure though.

The mm circulated while the coin was in circulation?!?!
