    Found 1951D-1OM-001

Well, I took a break form the coins while family was in town with the thought I would start on the 1950-58's around the 1st of the year.
Got a new Hastings loupe for christmas. My old one was about 12 years old and the glass falls out. So to make a long story longer....last night my family sat around the kitchen table talking for hours...and they all sorted my 50's with me. What would have taken me weeks, took all of us a few hours while laughing and talking etc. Great times and merry christmas to me.
Today, I decided to start and so checked my CONECA top 100 and LCR Top 50 for what to keep an eye out for in particular. I chose the 1951's to look for the OMM #1 and 15 coins later.....here it is. I still have about 4-500 1951's to go thru.
    Thanks for looking,
    Rock

I'm thinking fairly sure that's the 002 Rock. The MM position does not fit the 001 and it has the attributes of the 002 more than the 001. No matter which one it is, it's still a great find! Nice coin. Kevin

That's interesting Kevin. It seems dead on to the #1 to me. Not sure what I'm missing or what your seeing. I've added a couple more pics including an overlay with my coin to the pic on CC. The 1st pic is the overlay, 2nd is my coin, 3rd is CC's coin.
      Thanks for your input,
      Rock

Edit: I removed the CC pic a couple minutes after posting as I got to thinking it might not be cool to post or use the pic without permission. But here is a link to compare.

My sincere apologies Rock! I was comparing it to the RPM-001/002, NOT the OMM's!! You are correct of course!! Coincidentally, it does look somewhat similar to the RPM-002, position-wise and attributes, but I was not very thorough to notice the obvious differences. Again, nice find, hope you find more in that bunch! Kevin

No problem Kevin. You had me going for a minute. I do tend to overlook big obvious things sometimes and I thought this was the case again. I went back to it, comparing it to everything I could find and just couldn't see how it wasn't. Thanks so much for your input. It's greatly appreciated.
