    1950s rpm #8?

This one is really close to #8. The MM is in the right position, but the extra punch to the east looks different but similar. This extra punch on #8 is northeast. This looks to be just straight east to me. I can not find any of the markers on my coin that are listed for #8. All pictures are the same coin with different lighting angles. I need help yet again. Is #8 or a new one?

    Thanks everyone,
    Dave

That is a tough one. It looks like the #8 and the position is right but the original MM is just a little off. Maybe its just wear. Its one of those that need to be seen in hand I think. It really is close to the #8. Sorry I'm not much help to you.

If my eyes are not failing me I believe I see a raised area directly above the top of the S? Other than that it appears closest in appearance to #8, but I cannot quite say for certain.
Are any of the die markers for #8 present on your coin?

I'll post a pic of My 50-S RPM#8, his is either a much later die stage or a different variety... Worth sending in....

Thanks Rock, Jean and eaxtellcoin. And thanks for the picture, eaxtellcoin. It's hard to tell. I guess this one goes in the pile to send to Bob.

It's probably a Later die stage, when more of the fixed part of the die falls out creating a nicer RPM, - because you can see more! - I'd send it on just to be sure, so many are so close, only one known close here. Worth the fee! By the way Dave, Nice to meet you, I'm Eric....
