I was having difficulty earlier today trying to figure out why I couldn’t upload photos. I ended up going to another site that I’m a member of and posted it there. Then I saw here that I needed to renew my paid membership. So now I can post photos again. Here is what I found today. The ear to me looks like a DDO ear. Any thoughts? Thanks

I am not much of an authority on the Zincolns, but from the looks of that ear lobe and the facial area I would think that you have a good chance at a new variety.
Good luck with it if you send it in...and keep us posted.

Mitch, I'm leaning towards MD for most of it and possible plating issues too. When you look at it in the full coin shot, I think it shows this. PDI 83P md and plating issues.jpgComment

makecents Thanks Jon, I appreciate your taking a look at this one for me. I see what you are saying and that very well is the most plausible answer. I just couldn’t see the straight shelf like look that MD is known for. I’m not familiar with all of the plating issues that can occur. I’m going to have to pay more attention to plating problems so I can differentiate those types of issues.Comment
