I cannot tell, the pics are big enough but the images are too blurry. I'll say that MD on proof coins can be deceptive; is there notching?

Received Lucien's 1988-S Proof Lincoln cent. Completing an extensive examination of the coin, I was unable to detect any doubling. Also, mechanical doubling nor any strike doubling/flat-shelf doubling was not present on the coin either.
Wish I had better news. The only thing I can think of is the lighting glare created on Lucien's image a mirror feedback which on proofs can happen.
Below is a photo I took of the word UNITED. It is perfectly normal, as well as the rest of the reverse and also the obverse.

It could be camera movement (shake) creating the image - or as suggested some sort of reflection. I would suggest using a tripod or a monopod to stabilize the camera...

That is something to remember when buying a coin on-line... A person knowing how the reflection can make it appear doubled can sell to the unaware buyer... Thanks for that info... Maybe next LC Lucien!!!
