There is a hit to the west of what I percieve as being an extension of the column into the stairs. The extension does not appear to be a hit and even so, the steps to the east of it are waved. Are they not?

I am no pro... Barely at amateur stutus... But those look to be going up to the steps instead of down... The pics are kind of small... If you could post larger ones that may help... It will be interesting to read what the pros write!!!

Just an update: Regrettably this is not the find I thought it might be. Got the coin back from Bob who, very clearly shows in an enlarged picture, that the proposed colum extension is, indeed, nothing more than another hit (PMD). Thank you Bob, for the efort. Now back to the hunt. GeorgeComment
