Your coin looks like a sans serif 'trumpet tail' 'S' not an inverted ball serif 'S'

Here's another example for you to compare yours with.Attached FilesComment

To be honest with you it is hard to tell if your coin has the inverted mint mark. The position of the S looks good, but again, without the coin in hand, I can not say for sure. I have the inverted mint mark posted on the traildies.com web site also if you would care to make a comparison to that one.

Hi Lincoln Collector,
I have a Canon Powershot SD850 IS Digital Elph.
Do not use flash. Use macro. Use ambient light as much as possible.
My desk lamps are one Ott-Lite and one regular light with a power saving bulb that has a rather yellowish glow. Either one can be used for photographing copper coins. Or you can use the lights together if need be.
The camera can usually get to about 1-1/2 inches from the coin and take a good picture for you. However, it is not self-focusing for macro, and you will need to experiment with the distance and how steady your hands are to get a sharp picture.
This camera does not have a connector for a remote tripper device, so a tripod can be a problem. I have not tried the time delay for photographing, but if you can figure it out it will probably be of benefit.
One other thing I recommend getting is an extra battery. If you use the camera at the highest resolution (also recommended) then the battery will loose a charge faster. Having a back up battery has been a blessing when the camera goes dim and I am in a groove taking pics.
You probably know more about your camera than I will ever learn about mine.
It has a lot of great features... and the bonus... no film to buy or have printed.
Good luck,
