I was searching some rolls of 1963-D Lincoln Cents and found some DDO cents that are not listed in the Cherrypicker’s Guide. The 9 and 6 in the date is doubled and the “L” in Liberty is also doubled. Thoughts? Pictures to follow.
I agree with enamel7. Aslo, as he mentions, not all doubled dies are in the Cherry Pickers Guide (CPG). For Lincoln cents alone, there are over 3,000 known doubled dies. the CPG only lists basically a handful. Keep searching!

Welcome to the LCF twenty2plain! Very nice 63D Lincoln, and very good photos too! It will help in the future if you can take the photo straight on though, instead of at an angle. Maybe it's just the photo angle messing with me but I would like to see the L of Liberty up close if you can (and the date too if you don't mind). I keep looking back and forth and Coppercoins Die 002 is bugging me at the moment!
On top of that, it's not always the biggest ones that were in the book. Like for 42-S, the die 2 was the one I would have expected if the original book were based on "biggest for the date".
The CPG numbering system includes lots of stuff that I don't think were in any of the editions yet.
And like was already said, other listing like Coppercoins have thousands of listing but the CPG only has a small fraction of them.
I am in agreement with you. I think this to be DDO-002, also. I would like to get a ballpark figure on the value of them. I have searched over 1600 coins and have only picked 15 examples. I will be getting better pictures in the near future.
Thank you twenty2plain for the follow up! When you can get some better photos of this one, it would be nice to see closer, straight on shots of this coin! I really have no idea of value unless you could find one for sale or that sold on ebay. Let's see what the guys have to say!
Thanks to all for the interest and help with identifying this variety. I am now convinced that it is DDO-002. I am now wondering if ANACS will certify them as that particular variety.
Thank you twenty2plain, much better photos! Looks like a Coppercoins Die 002 to me! I'm not seeing much in the way of die flow lines on yours, do you have the Coppercoins markers (light die scratches running E-W behind Lincoln's neck and small die chip half way up on the right side of column #3)?
Much better photos and agree that this is 1DO-002. Even though this is a nice variety, I don't know if you would recoup the cost of slabbing them. That is your call of course.
