    51st ANNUAL COIN SHOW

Anyone going??? St. Charles Missouri Convention Center. Starts today. Three day event. 180 dealers. I think I will go on Friday. I've only been to one coin show before. Might be interesting.

For some reason not typing complete sentences.

If you see me there say Hi. I'll be the guy looking at coins.

Wish I could go, but I already used up my vacation time,...and money. I haven't been to a coin show in over 15 yrs.
Have fun and hoping you cherry some goodies.

Now I remember why I have only went to one coin show before. Disappointing. Too crowded, overpriced coins, didn't meet very many people people if you know what I mean. Picked up some supplies in the lobby and left after about an hour.

Did see one coin that I wanted but I'm too tight to pay the price. A 1972-1DO-001 MS-66 a real beauty.

Best part of the trip was Red Lobster

I have not been back that way since I graduated from HS in 1964. I was raised (part time) in Topeka, Ks but left because I do not like Tornadoes.......

Good Luck at the show if you go. Might be a good time to dicker and buy with the Economy the way it is.

If I still lived up there, I would meet with you Steven. You will go and have good time. It's just
like looking through a bag of pennies, coin shows are. If the show seems overcrowded and not very
friendly, a bag of 5000 pennies are the same way. And what do you do???

              KEEP SEARCHING!!!

Well, if Ft.Leonard Wood was all you got to see of Missouri you missed a lot. That said I wouldn't want to go there either. US Navy myself even though I did spend a few years in the ARNG.

Now this is funny, I went fishing today with an old army buddy who looked me up........ after he left here,he spent 3 years at Lost in the Woods, Misery too...but as a battalion commander....I told him that wasn't quite the same

Steven, my dad was a Chief Petty Officer when he retired...so I know a little about boats too....oops.... ships !

Steve, I beat you to the punch anyways - covered the west half on Thurs, There are alot of high priced RPM's still sitting there and a few War Nicks, "nicely priced" that I already had. I came home with about a dozen coins - nothing noteworthy except a old cleaned 1950-D RPM#6 paid a $1 so it was worth it...
