Mylar folder storage durations for coins

Does anybody know how long coins can be safely stored in mylar flips without any kind of damage to coin such as heat, humidity etc.? I have no idea and was wondering if someone knew.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

The environment in which they are stored will dictate the answer. The flips are really only to protect the coin from hits and fingerprints, etc.

I have a dansco book. But no matter what you have you should place your book or binder in a ziplock bag and then in a plastic container that will seal. Keep it somewhere where you do not have a lot of temp differences . As stated previous the flips only protect the coin from hits and fingerprints. I would also use airtights for your better coins.

When you say airtights, what exactly are you referring to?

The most important thing for storage is temperature variations. If you store in a vault and the vault sweats then you have a problem, so be careful how coins are stored.

Air Tite is a brand name for coin holders, just Google it and you'll find them. There are others too, but basically it is a plastic air tight holder.
