Back from the show and boy it was worth the trip.
Got up early this AM and was on the road at 7:30am. Note the thrilled look of me traveling to the show this early on my 1 day off. Also shown was the overcast day and what happens on RT80 when you do nothing but drive emergency calls all day ( you forget where 55mph is on the speedometer.).

I arrived shortly after 8:30 to the show after getting gas and food and was able to get a close spot on the street. Lot was full by the time i got there.

Inside was a regular day of busy trading already under way. Not being here this early I wasnt use to dealers NOT here yet, but they did show up after 9.

Alot of silver being sold and bought. Selling was around 22x I was hearing. and plenty of silver to go around. I didnt hear or see much on the gold front. I managed to move most of my currency today to a few of my regular dealers. Making money on most of what I sold. Some for a loss but better than it going down further. I did manage to pick up a few coins. The highlight being a 1914D with a lamination error over the 2nd 1 and the D . The fact it was in an ANACs F15 / Lamination made me feel safe with the purchase. Even though I wanted a 14D for my Dansco book this piece wouldnt make it in there since its a lamination error and thats for my other collection. A few token buys from dealers I spent more than 30 minutes at their tables. Other pick ups included a 1960 D/D with a nice die crack on the reverse I didnt see till i got home, a 1961D/Horiz.D. a 1926 VF clipped cent, and 50 count bag of 1920 decade cents. Not a bad day My buying was very slim since noone had coins I needed or had a use for. So the hunt for the red chip-tober continues.
Going home the ride was nice with no traffic and the sun was out. Cant beat that. Might try back for February as I think since Jan 1 is new years they dont have a show then.
