I was wandering if anyone has used adobe photoshop to "Layer" picture on top of picture to tell wheather the coin they were looking at matched another coin position and mintmark position? I've been told that it is possible to do - I've tried with little success from the owners manual. Anyone have any help? Thanks, Eric
I'm using adobe photoshop elements 3.0. and still cannot figure out how it's done. Can someone p.m me and give me some direction? I have no idea of how it's done...
Eric - I can talk with you at some point about it, but not this evening. Send me an email and we can work out some time when I can call you and go through it with you.
I do not have PS Elements 3.0, I have PS Elements 9 on this computer. Not sure they will even do the same thing, but we can find out.
BTW, I live in Florida now, but still have the same Missouri cell phone number I have had for many years. If you still have my number from years past, you still have my current number.

Im not sure you can do it with elements. Alot of them you can just copy and paste right in the picture you have open or add a layer. Then just tinker with the transparency a little and size them up where you want them.
I'm working with a very close coin that is, of course; a tilt that resembles ALOT of other 57-D's. Can anyone give me a clue, if I use the grid function; how can I save it to the picture? I've layered two coins, One directly above the other and with the grid I can show the placement of both mintmark/Date relationship. problem is when I try to save, the grid work disappears.
I adjust the pixels with the crop function. I then place the cropping tool somewhere on the coin I can mimic every pic. Look at the top of the screen - Left side will say 4 height 6 width. change those to 400px and 600px. This is how you set that...
