    Chugly the Cutthroat Slayer

Had another awesome time hanging out with John (chugly). Even if we hadn't caught a fish each, we'd have had a blast. Here's Chugly all suited up for battle-

Below is my fish, 6 pounds and just short of 30 inches! (She's about to become smoked Christmas presents) Rigor set in, so you don't get the full effect of her length.

Wasn't bad- while Spokane was high 20s, but the area we went to, 100 miles south was probably low 40s. If fishin's involved, there's nothing else to complain about!

Certainly ain't New Jersey! But we catch a few big ones. I do admit - I never caught a trout that nice. Wow!
          Congrats to both of you.

Wow! Nice catch! What a delicious Christmas gift... I love fishing, have you ever tried Bite on Garlic bait? It's seriously amazing, almost feels like cheating when I fish....lol
            What's the Motto you?! Eh!

I haven't Karah. Chugly says the cutthroat are pretty particular so we've only used fresh roe. Usually when I'm trolling on a lake I'll just use a wedding ring with worm, but power bait works sometimes too.

Nice fish Chris ! Did Chugly catch any too or was he just acting as your guide ?

Yeah, Chugly beat me to the punch by 5 minutes at the same fishing hole. We both took home one, well worth the all day trip.

But for the record, he's an incredibly humble and talented guide, the guy could make $500 a day just leading a fishing party. He's told me that some people fish for years before catching the kind of fish we have.

I might have to visit if it gives you fish like that.

Thanks Chris for another awesome day! I feel lucky to get the two fish we did given the frigid conditions, but not matter what it was a blast. Plus, being able to bs about coins all day was a major bonus. A little rain would go a long way toward improving things so expect a call from me when that happens.

I will throw out an offer to any other board members, if any of you are planning a trip to the NW or just happen to be in the area let me know and perhaps I can get you into a fish or two. No matter what I can give good suggestions for places to go! Happy holidays everyone!!

You might need a time-space device to travel there ;)

But then, I guess a more realistic solution would be finding a 1969-S doubled die.

Chris and Chugly we never see that kind of trout in MD. I might have to migrate in the fall. Well worth the journey one of these days.
