    B&M field trip 2/11/12

I got to the coin place today saying hi to the regulars ( Starting to feel like norm from cheers on the stool at the far end of the counter. A guy walks in and was like whats he so into over there. The owner is like I dont know he comes in every other week looking for stuff for his book but since i dont sell what he wants in holders he searches for what he wants. Followed up by the buyer saying does he ever find anything. Owner says Sometimes but i cant see what it is since it all looks normal to me.

45 minutes later a new person walks in . Says can i see the silver dimes. He looks in my direction ( the owner) mind you still working on the box and says this can be a while. im like Im good i have a head ache from them . and i start on my nickels. The other guy says anything good left in the box to pick from . Im like sure is, just not my cup of tea.

    25 minutes later.......
I found in the nickel box 2 3 cent pieces I need for my book and im like here ya go . The owner goes all that and you pull the only 2 nickels in the box that wasnt 5 cent pieces. Im like they are what i need though. Looking at the coins he goes I dont get it cause every 2 weeks you buy something different, I dismissed the notion your doing a 7070 book. But I dont know what it is your collecting or doing. I try to explain what im looking for again. and hes like I got tons more coins you can search through but youll be here for a long time. Im like Perhaps we should go 50/50 on a stool with a padded seat. he laughed and said maybe we should lol.

Even though my dealer doesnt get me at least he has a sense of humor.

the 1963 D dime i picked up ( thinking it was a D/D ) turned out to be a dud. but at 22x face I didnt loose much on the cherry attempt.

But I think i did better with this. You guys can tell me if you agree . but around 8:00 looks to be a retained CUD which is the reason i pulled the trigger on it. I see nothing that matches the 34 CUDS in the CUD book but this will be a new one in my book IF its agreed that what i saw shopping was correct. Some cherries are better than others and I really hope this is a homerun compared to the sacrifice bunt i did on the time.

Looks like it runs from 7:00 to 9:00 with a another corner at 8:00.

I Like the die break/cud, but I believe the pics upside down, making the area of interest about 2 o clock area of the coin. Nice Old Break!
