    baseball card collectors

i have had a tremendous week i bought some allen and ginter just to see the design i like it the minis are neat and so are the big cards. an honest review though is i do not like the wasted non baseball cards in the set devoted to inventor monkeys reptiles and such things. i bought some topps and i love the design and the inserts are great while this is a top notch product my one beef with it is where are the autographs and jerseys and bats and such cards. i bought one box of bowman draft and prospects yesterday and it was great i pulled a futures allstar game used jersey of will middlebrooks and all these were retail packs and not hobby but the bowman draft and prospects have stated odds of one of the cards i pulled being one in 36 packs. blasters as you know if your reading this only have 8 packs so i beat the odds clearly thinking this was a fluke and since that was my last purchase yesterday i regretted not having bought more well i bought another bowman draft and prospects and i pulled a tyler skaggs allstar futures game used jersey now correct me if im wrong here but with the given odds being one in 36 and im doing it one in 8 either i am having extreme luck or their averages are way off i only say this because in sixteen packs im doing slightly better than half the stated odds per getting more packs which i am doing next week when i get my taxes i am hoping i get doubles of at least one of the jerseys if i do is anyonw interested in getting a card that books for as little as 5 to as much as 30 bucks in exchange for say a dollars face value in truly mixed wheats with at least 20 from each decade. in any grade its a win for both of us i think.

This is probably a post that's best for a baseball card forum.

Maybe I'm totally misunderstanding, but are you posting about wheats on your baseball card forum too? I can probably explain what the problem is...

Kingofcoins, Chris makes a valid point. The name of this forum is Lincoln Cent Resource, and that has everything to do with what should be discussed here. There are lots of baseball card forums out there, and I am sure they would be a little concerned if you had posted about coin collections on that one. We do allow off topic posts here, but this is beyond what it was intended for. If you have multiple collecting interests, then you should join multiple forums, and not assume that anyone on a coin forum is interested in your card collection.

Where the heck did baseball cards come from on this site!!!!!

There is a sports card forum on the Collectors Universe Forum that is somewhat active.

Ya know? It's too bad ya like coins so much, but we're glad you do. Is your loupe a 'lighted' loupe? Some good advice would be maybe to try one of those scopes, (preferably a handheld USB scope), which would blow the coin up to the entire size of your monitor! (while you search for varieties, etc.!)
If you find, though, that you could do without the coins or the scope, you will probably have to stick to baseball cards. I'm sure there are many here that sympothize with your condition. It would be amazing if you could 'feel' for details on a coin. Maybe practice braille first?
Kingofcoins, this truly IS a "Lincoln Cent Resource Forum", and that means specialized in the area of Lincoln Cents. Most 'non-topics' that are discussed do not go into alot of detail about their other extreme collections, maybe just a mention, or a story and such.
Hope to hear more from your coin searching though.
                        Thanks, and good luck!

Coppercoins.com had a section devoted to other copper coins. That was well populated. I collect other copper besides Lincolns. I'm sure others here do. It could be successful here also.

Did not mean to make fun of you, just thought it was kind of different to see a baseball card post.

Besides the scope I also have a hand held loupe (like holding a bike handle in size) that is black in color and has a light on it so when viewing it really shows the coin. Got it on line and can tell you where if interested. Not to expensive. I also agree with the other post about if possible and have a scope to get a usb and it will show the whole coin on your computer monitor. If you need any help, I have some software to use with the scope I can send you.

By the way, I have the Derek Jeter Rookie card in excellent condition. (I also collect those).
