I just got a bunch of UNC dimes for my Dansco. The guy I bought them from placed them all in air-tites. Is there a trick to getting these damn things open with implalling your thumb?

You might try a screw driver to pry open the two pieces. Becarefull not to touch the coin. (This is for the two piece air tights. Not the slabs.)Richard S. I've always just wedged a blade in and popped them open that way.“What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.”Comment

I use a small pocket knife, the blade edge fits in the crack and rotate the airtite, work your way around a few times and they pop. Carefully!
