You have one of the "first class" collections I have seen. I love the fact that you have family history in your collection. I still have the gold pieces that my grandfather gave to my Dad and he gave to me. I will give to Heidi. Stoke me down if I sold them.
You have always been a inspiration to me and LCR and are always there to help us!
    Thankyou

I guess I don't do much in the hobby. I have only managed to save 5 or 6....thousand varieties over the years. My love of the hobby started at age 12 when I found my first variety, a 1956D RPM-001, which I still have to this day. I spent a lot of time studying numismatics, and learning from many of the best old timers in the hobby. I met up with Chuck Daughtrey quite a few years ago, and since then, coppercoins has been my home. Not only do I love searching and finding stuff, but I also enjoy giving away some nice varieties. I have met tons of fantastic people here on this forum, and believe me when I tell you, I wouldn't be hanging around here if I didn't believe in its foundation, it's people, or the satisfaction you get when you lead someone down the right path. Some folks think of me as a celebrity of some sort, but I am just like the majority of you all here. I have a deep passion for the hobby, and the friendships I have forged here. You just can't beat the Lincoln Cent Resource Forum.

in 1982 I looked at the price of a 1909 s vdb and said.."at $2.00 a week that will take me forever to get....nope I will stick with my nickles"....I was a collector....in 1999 with the state quarters and my wife(a teacher) wanting to know "what to do with them" i said..."hummm I might be able to"...when I finally bought my 1909 s vdb.. the dealer had a 1909 vdb ddo die 1..I had never seen one... I HAD to have it... and my transition into a person who study.. a numismatist....a searcher started...and I have never looked back
