    Omg, one million dollars

ok a little open discussion here; let's say you won $1,000,000 in the lottery, your house was paid off , you had no debt prior to winning , and the boss ( your wife ) says to you '' go ahead dear; i know you want to buy some nice coins .''
WHICH ONES WOULD TOU BUY ? because this is lcr and dedicated to lincoln cents , lets stay the course gentlemen please !

Id give half of it to Chris and ask him to surprise me.

The other half I would use to open a little coin shop where I would go everyday to search and not really care if I sold anything or not.

Oh, I'd surprise you alright Thomas, I'd pay off my own house!!

But really- I'd collect them ALL...

One can put together a nearly complete BU Wheat set for literally just a couple of thousand dollars by cherrpicking "AU" coins that are actually unc. from dealers who never took the time to learn to grade, no joke.

Then a BU roll set going back as far as possible, probably early 30s.

Then a complete Lincoln Proof set from 1909 on.

Then I'd start hoarding 1909 VDBs, every one I could get ahold of and move the bid to 3x what it is now, make my money all back and start over again.

Oh yeah- I'd also have a GIANT LCR meet on some amazing fishing lake. Everyone could really get to know eachother, we'd all remember it for the rest of our lives.

Easy to say until you start buying incredible Lincolns... that money would be gone in a couple of years!

I always thought it would be cool to corner the market on something somewhat scarce but in demand. Look everywhere, high and low and pull them all out and buy them up until none are left on the market. Wait, wait..then start a big campaign on them and resell back to the public one at a time at Christies or somewhere like that with each slab reading "From the ROCK Collection"
Actually, A million dollars probably wouldn't go far these days.

My turn. I would rent a passenger jet, book the best hotel on Nantucket, in early summer, fly ALL active LCR members and their families out for a massive shindig. Im talkin BBQ, Clam bake, best seafood on the Island, Polish, German, Italian food and ( cant forget) Beer. FREE Beer.I'd put Chris in charge of that! Super rare Cents for door prizes, the whole nine yards. Then after it was all said and done, I would cherry out my 1970 Blazer and put a new front door on the house( need one of those)DAMN, what a dream I just had. Tom
