1968 S Kennedy DDO FS-101

So, I was online buying some rolls from a coin shop in Maryland, when I happened to see the proof set tab on their website. I clicked it, and low and behold only one proof set, a 1968. I picked it up for $8 and when it got to my house, look who was hiding inside! Sorry about the pictures, it is incredibly hard to take pictures of proof varieties sometimes.

Are you sure that's FS-101 Ryan? There's a dozen different Proof DDOs for halves that year. I'm sure it may just be the photos, proofs seem nearly impossible to photograph. Either way, congrats!

I'm about 90% sure. I just went back and took a second look at it, and there wasn't anything to change my mind. If you want I can send it to you, you can tell me for sure. If it is we can send it off to teletrade together haha

If you'd like, I'd be happy to take a look at it for you Ryan, I've handled a few of them. Best to leave it in the proof set until you want to slab it. I'll give you a cointain to keep it from getting any hairlines inside a flip.

Nice DDO. I don't have a any references for FS-101, but the spread doesn't seem "strong" as Wiles describes it in the CONECA listing.

Why didn't I get the 2nd volume of the CPG?

pcgs has a huge closeup, most notable on the (8) good find 68s are nice for proof sets (but yeah lots of DDs in the halves on the 40%), did you check the quarter?
