You can't help but to like/love Lincoln. He is at once a tragic hero and a tortured soul with all that he had to deal with. I can't imagine the pressure he endured. The one cent piece is, to my mind, a great and so far, lasting, tribute to him. I am happy to hear that you feel the same. I wonder how many others in foreign lands know about him and rever him.
