    Weighing coins? Hornady gs-1500 scale

Would my powder scale work for weighing coins? It is 0.001 grams or should I look into a different kind?

I don't see why not, as long as it has the capability to weigh in grams in addition to grains. Powder scales usually weigh in grains, correct? 1 grain = 0.0647989 grams. If not, you could always do the conversions manually.

Powder scale works fine but why noot buy a $9 cell phone size battery operated scale from Harbor Freight. Goes everywhere and works great.

Thanks for all the come backs, I think I just might buy one that I can take on the road with me for the winter times.
