Anyone know anything about these Dime Banks?

I picked these up in an estate sale purchase and I have been itching to crack one of them open to see what lies inside. I don't know much about them, but I know there are 50 silver dimes inside each one. I did some research on the bank but that doesn't really help much with assessing value, at least not to a newby like myself.

Do they have any extra value being intact, with silver dimes in them, or is it okay to crack one open and check the contents?

Those are fun, some were used as promotional items. I have one from a furniture allowing the down payment of a furniture set with the contents full in the roll. Fun, there's gotta be some market. I like mine and have never tried to sell or research them.

Nice grab, I would be too tempted to crack them open and search those dimes! Maybe you could take it to an antique store and see what they know about them?
