Picked this up at the Flea Market

Picked this up at the Flea Market today for $4.50, the lady wanted $5 but just had to bargain. The bag has 441 Wheat Cents, 3 Memorial Cents and a Republic of Liberia 1975 Cent (KM #13). No, I haven’t searched them but did see teens on up!
I had a great time researching the bag which is in mint condition. It was made for the Quackenbush & Co. Retailers, Paterson, NJ. By the Continental Bank-Supply Co., Mexico, MO.
The bag has to be pre 1960 as Paterson’s merged the Sterns on 1960.

Wow, an old lady was asking 50 cents over face value for wheats and you still beat her up on the price? You'd be a great buyer for Bernie Madoff were he a coin dealer!

LOL, I have you know she was younger than me. I've learned, over time, you never pick on old people.

Pretty nice haul. I am also intrigued by the 1988 calendar. You either don't throw anything away, or are longing for the 'old' days.

LOL, Your right on both!!! I put that on my desk in Jan. of 1988. I wrote some notes on January that I wanted to keep so I didn't tear off the top. Also I could see the 1988 days along the bottom. January got so gunky from sorting coins on it I recopied my notes on February. It took until 2013 to get to August. So if I figure right it takes about 4 years to gunk up a page. At that rate I won't have to buy a new desk calendar until around 2033. Besides the calendar goes well with my 6ft 1950's Gray Gov't Surplus Desk which came from the "OLD" Ent Air Force Base ("OLD" NORAD Ops Ctr), which is now the United States Olympic Training Center.

The bag is probably worth more than that!
