This is an RPM, but which one - I wouldn't have a clue since I do not do nickels.Charles D. Daughtrey, NLG, Author, "Looking Through Lincoln Cents"

Edit: I guess the only option is try Wiles' CONECA master files for the date and see if maybe you can find a match. Nice find.Last edited by jcuve; 10-07-2013, 06:28 PM.

D/D and D/S RPM info on PCGS site
There are many RPM's on the 1938 Buffalo. The theory on the D/S is that either left over dies from 1937 or dies made for 1938 from the San Franciso mint were repunched for Denver. I doubt there was an S punch at Denver.
My guess at what you have is a D/D/S. I think there is one with 4 punches on it. D/D/D/S. It has been a while since I read about it.Comment

I am seeing RPM but after a better look thinking maybe 3 D's but not sure. Not in the greatest shape. Any help appreciated.
