Wanting to build a coin display.

Ive been wanting to build a coin display for some time now. What I want to do is build some kind of magnifying sheet above the coins so I can see the coins through the display. I want the sheet to be around 15X power so the detail shows clearly. Where and how can I get sheets of magnifying 15X or better power? The reason I want to do this is because Im building a museum room to display my artifacts ,antiques, fossils, bottles, and coins.

You might be better off using just flat glass or good Plexi -- and supplying Magnifying Glasses or even sheets like the link shows. Make sure the focus-length works for you.

Yeah thanks for the info but the magnifying sheet isn't strong enough. Plus the sheet has to be bigger ,thicker ,and stronger. I already have plexi glass and boards to build the display. I bought that stuff last year in the summer. Just never got around to it yet because have to put a coating on wall in basement first to keep moisture out.

You put the sheet on top of the glass or plexi -- as a portable magnifier.... I'd imagine a sheet to be built in as the cover -- would VERY expensive...

I think it's very difficult to make it with that high of magnification unless it uses a lens for each coin.

Maybe displaying the coins with very good photos with them would be simpler.

It's flexible, but there is a magnifier behind the glass on flat panel tv s. My buddy takes em off broken tvs that people give him to trash. Not sure what the exact magnification is but it looks to be in that range. And some of them are from 50" flat screens.
