    1847 Large Cent overdate?

Sorry guys, I don't have the coin to photograph but I did see it. The coin is a high grade BR. The one and 8 in the date is what I judge to be a one over 1 ( or doubled) directly south of the primary. The base of the second 1 is clearly visible under the primary no. and there is a clear split on the top "beak" of the number. I'm not as certain about the 8 because I do not now clearly remember but my recollection that it too showed the same anom. I can find no anomaly of that kind in CP or elsewhere. Is anyone in the know?

It could be N-4 or N-27. They both have the same obverse die but different reverses. They both are RPD's to the south on the 1 and 8. PM me and I'll break it down for you.

This could be a very valuable coin if its N-4 with no reverse die cracks...
