1969 P dime with the reverse of 1968

Not a cent but... I enjoy all transitional and wrong design die coins
    Just found this one.
I have 3 copies of this coin with 1 in Mint State.. MS63 ish
    I have seen 5 others..

This is a Proof die used on a circulation strike coin
in 1968 they changed the proof die adding 2 deep cuts in the flame
    This die was used on some 1969 P, 1970 P, and 1970 D dimes
ALL dimes in 1971 and after have this 2 deep cut flame both proof and circulation

    I have owned:
    3 1969 P examples
    21 1970 P examples
    and 26 1970 D examples

Worn but still a hard coin to find.

I look for these also. So far I have found:

    1969P - 1
    1970P - 7
    1970D - 9

i just compared our numbers and the ratios are almost identical. Crazy.

I have talk to a few 68 searchers...
all are close to these numbers.. the 69 is very hard to find...
most dealers consider the 1969 and 1970 dime do not bring enough money in order for them to bring to shows...
The 1968 S proof comes with both reversions of the die.. with 2 deep cuts and without 2 deep cuts

Glad you found a 1969.. I will add your 1969 find to my list of recovered 1969s
