    esty website

Has any one sold or bought off etsy.com I have seen a couple of interesting coins there. Like the famous 1969 S MD 15.000.

On the other side There was a fair 09 S for 85. I doubt there is enough traffic to gain too much excitement. Compared to E bay.The cost for selling is like a 3rd 1/3 of E bay. .20 to list then 3.5% final sales.
Sorry copied wrong on website. Here is the new one. It's etsy.com
Find the perfect handmade gift, vintage & on-trend clothes, unique jewelry, and more… lots more.

Here is the link to the site.

You have to search for coins through arts and collectables.

LOL. I was thinking "e-sty" was just a rip off of "e-bay." Instead of a bay, you have a sty, like a pig pen!

It didn't take me long to get discouraged about that site. The first Lincoln I saw was a 1969S with MD that the guy wants $15,000 for.

He even went so far as to explain the 8 acceptable classes of doubling along with some other comments on doubling. His comment about the top of the pyramid of errors being 'hub errors' is one of my favorites. His other comment about error coins making people learn about the classes of doubling loses it's meaning when he tries to sell off a common MD coin like this one. I wonder what class he considers this one?

I wonder what the policing policies are on Esty.

They do use pay pal so there is protection. It was set up as a craft trading or selling and expanded from there.
Price for selling is cheap. Guess another place to look to for Cherry Pick.

I reported it as a misrepresentation of the coin.

Still not an excuse for this type of misrepresentation. I get irked (maybe pissed off is a better word), when someone makes themselves come off as knowledgeable in the hobby, yet tries to pull off something like this. It just does!

In general, listings that go on and on rambling but say little about the specific item in the listing turn me off even for legit items, this one's even more ridiculous because it's not a 69-S doubled die at all.
