PCGS turnaround time.

I've had an 8 coin regular service submission at PCGS since 8/24/15, (technically it arrived 8/21 but wasn't entered until 8/24) and the grades still haven't posted. I know the collectors universe forums are typically littered with malcontents, (WaterSport) so I thought I would check if anyone else was complaining about waiting on PCGS. The first thread in my search is a guy claiming he got his coins back in 8 days... 8, not 8 business days, 8 days. Not to mention, it was over labor day weekend, sent 9/2, shipped 9/10. So, let's call that 5 days. My coins were there, and are still there. Sitting at 31 days and counting. On an estimated turnaround of 15 business days. All Lincolns, not a jumble of different denominations and series like his. What in the world!?

Ok, ok, I'm done ranting. I suppose, my question is, does anyone else have a submission in right now? Or, does anyone with a little more PCGS experience have any pointers for this, and or next time? I'm losing my mind.

Never had a problem with them as far as turnaround time. Have you called CS.

I've heard they're fast lately.
I was guessing you had some varieties that slowed it but your form looks like normal coins.
I'd call and ask what's up.

No varieties, just regular old Lincolns. I emailed them, if I don't hear something back today, I'll call them tomorrow.

LOL, Watersport is happy this time! I gave up spending for 2 week service and started going for Economy. These coins got posted the 9th and grades the 23rd - 2 weeks for Economy - go figure...Any way - you guys and gals saw the 10 S/S. I cracked it out of its AU 53 Holder, Nice upgrade. The 1929 S/S was a BIN on Ebay for $62 in a NGC MS 64 R&B Holder. And finally the 1944 D/S I had, but it was a filthy coin. So it too was cracked, given an acetone bath. I knew the grade would not change, I just don't like crud on expensive coins.

Well Friday ended with a call to PCGS. Customer service was as helpful as the website. All she said was check back next week... This is getting out of hand.

I still have another order of 5 (they are Top 100 Cents) also logged on the 9th.Nothing has happened with them yet and they are also an economy order. I am sure yours will be up soon.

Still nothing, called customer service again today, The rep said they should be done by the end of the week. Friday will be 28 business days. I wonder if there is something wrong with my submission or something. I don't know if I should be excited or nervous at this point. I feel like I'm going to get a bunch of questionable color coins back.

Well, I got my grades back today. I'm not as happy as I thought I would be. And I am scratching my head about the RB designation on my first 1910. It is bright red. Whatever, I'll post pics when I get them back.

Apparently they did true view for all my coins including the questionable color 1914... I didn't ask for them to do this, and I certainly didn't pay for it. I guess they are trying to make up for holding my coins hostage for 40+ days...
