1931-S Buffalo Nckel DDR-001 With RPM?

Was a very pretty DDR I found last week only found common lincoln cent stuff te last few weeks.

Cherry picked this last week with 2 other dates at LCS he had a hand full of nice uncirculated 2x2's.

On variety vista you can kind of see the rpm S/S but looks like wear on the circulated coin on that site?

This 1931-S Buffalo Nickel has a pretty nice Doubled Die Reverse with a class VI spread showing on United States of America and E-Pluribus Unum. A slight spread also shows on FIVE CENTS. Also appears to have S/S south RPM

I just started collecting the Buffalo varieties last few months I believe the ones I have found to be correct as they appear to match Wexler's or variety vista?

Any confirmation, comments, suggestion or feedback welcome.

Very nice! I see the class 6 for sure. I also see what could be the south RPM inside the upper of your MM. I just can't see the same on the examples. Both Wexler and VV's MM look like a curve on the upper left of the MM, which I'm guessing are hits. I'm also guessing the die state of yours is not earlier than the exames. Do you have the rev die crack showing?

Nice DDR... I am not sure about the RPM??? It looks more like die wear to me???

yeah originally I wasn't sure if it was die wear or not but it does seem to echo the flow of the coin so that make sense it is die wear causing that

That's a cool DDR. I myself have started to branch out into other coins. Picking up a 1946 half dollar I believe to be a DDR. Can't wait to see it. On a side note if you PM me a list of nickels your looking for I will keep an eye out. The local auction I go to has them from time to time.

Great coin and one of the hardest in the hobby to pick correctly in my opinion! The ddr looks spot on to me. I do see a notch on the lower serif but the rest looks like deterioration to me. Eithet way, great pick!
