    Kennedy half variety page?

Hey all! I have a 1968-D Kennedy that is exhibiting some slight doubling in the usual places for that series (date, IGWT, "Y"...). It's just I can't find this PARTICULAR example anywhere!

Before I go jumping the gun and thinking I have a new variety, I was wondering if any of you know of a good Kennedy Half variety site I can x-reference? The ones I'm coming up with leave a lot to be desired!

    Thanks!!

It would help if you told us which ones you've already found, but this is the one I use :http://www.varietyvista.com/Variety%...01967-1970.htm

I use my Franklin and Kennedy book not websites
As you mentioned. not many good websites on Kennedy's
Post a few pics and the group can check their references and coins to see if anyone
knows of this variety, if it is a ddo, or has another example to compare it to

Sure, but I'm nearly positive the dang scanner won't pick up the slightness of the doubling. I can illustrate, however

Has ministered before Him — There's no Vitality."

Here's the best I could get out of the scanner...1200ppi. :\

It did catch the notch on the inside loop of the "9", but the "6" exhibits the same and it didn't. Also, there are faint separation lines in "We Trust", again just not caught by the all-in-one.

Looking at the VV page, it seems it COULD be the MD-001.

The Kennedy halves are a frustrating series. Dr. Wiles told me once there are literally dozens of master doubled dies for certain years. I have tons of these stuck back for the day I get the patience to sort out the MD versions. Finding a high grade example of a legit variety is pretty tough. You might try Ken Potter's site at koinpro.com.

I agree with this. I'm not into halves, but I know there is a crap-load of master die doubling in that series.

This thread looks a bit dated. Can I hijack it and post another Kennedy question and pics here? Or should I start another thread? Thanks.
