1940 D Mercury Dime Question MD or Doubling?

I am going through a bunch of Mercury Dimes, this one has what I think might be MD... but I hope I am wrong haha and that it's real doubling. Its a bit worn so I am not sure... Your expertise is much appreciated! Thanks for looking and your thoughts on this.

Looks like die wear coupled with circulation. I can see where it tempts the eye. But I am not familiar with letter shapes on dimes.

Most definitely MD. This is a common look for MD on Mercs.
