    1921-D Morgan Dollar grade?

Anyone know how to grade these big silver beasts? Bought this below spot awhile back. Just curious to see if I made a little minor score on this one. My guess is High AU slider-ish. However, the toning is so deep I may be deducting too much for bag marks and scratches highlighted by the dark, contrasting colors. I don't have much experience with these except what I've learned through PCGS grading videos. The hair detail above the ear is really good and the marks on the face seem minimal compared to even most of the BU Morgans I've seen in hand. What bothers me is the eagle's breast feathers look worn to me which leads to believe this might have been an album coin? Bear in mind my pics don't nearly catch all the luster on this coin. I've never photographed a Morgan before. Thought I was gonna have to fetch a ladder to get my USB scope up high enough to fit the darn thing in the frame! For the record, I much prefer Lincolns.
    Thanks!

I do not know anything about Morgans... A mid AU or better I would think... The feathers along with a hit on the MM will hurt the grade... Question on the eagles beak and neck??? Is that normal - To me the lower beak looks doubled (Maybe that is a tongue) and along the west side of the neck looks doubled also??? A nice looking coin in my eyes!!!

That is a very nice '21 D! Most of them were not struck well, omitting some breast feathers, (making them look 'flattened'), and omitting some hair curls above the ear. I think your coin could grade MS 63, but your lighting is too dark to see enough detail, and I can't see the luster without enough light. It looks like scratches in the fields on both sides, but I don't see any wear on your coin. (You may want to experiment with your lighting on these silver beasts!)

Thanks so much for the feedback, guys! Sorry, I took so long to reply. There could be a few scratches in the fields but in hand they appear more as breaks in the toning than scratches if that makes sense. Put another way it's like there are abrasions in the toning that didn't scratch the actual surface of the coin. This coin has some of the deepest, darkest, multi-colored toning I have ever seen. Gold, red, blue, violet, and orange. You name it. Definitely original color it's so deep and faded. Extremely difficult to photograph detail shots due to hazy toning. I may try full sunlight to see if I can do better. Will update you guys after. Thanks again!
