    1867-1967 Canadian cent

The dots that go around the obverse side look like they are sliding over to the right. I can't tell if this is MD. I am not familiar with foreign coins. I'm leaning towards MD, but I'm not sure. Can anyone please help?

You are correct in that this is MD. You can also see it on the letter in the close-up. The anomaly cuts into the devices so that is a good call.

I have seen these and thought maybe it was small over large dots, but MD is definitely the cause after seeing it often on many years.

I figured I would ask to sure because I didn't want to miss anything. Now I know that it is nothing and how to spot it on these coins.
