1999 P nickel doubled?

    1999 P nickel doubled?

    The PLU in PLURIBUS looks kind of doubled, but I don't see any serifs on the corner of the letters. MD or doubling? I just can't find anything online or my books with this year. I am not too familiar with Nickels either. I think it's MD though.

    Die wear and MD, nickels are extremely hard on dies, the 25% nickel content harden the material greatly, also heat created by the sticking actually harden the nickel during the striking process.
    Even a fool can look wise if he keeps his mouth closed.
