    It's more likely than not die wear.

          I agree with Jason. This 'doubling' does not copy the edges of the die area and it cuts the anomaly short rather than following it to the end. Notice there is also die wear/MD apparent on the tip of the nose.

            Yes, I did notice about the nose. I have never seen it on the eye like that. Thank you guys very much for your help. Still learning a lot on these darn nickels. They are very difficult.

              I find all of it difficult Actually you are doing very good... A lot faster than I did when I started here almost 7 years ago!!!
