This cent weighs 2.3 grams. I can't find anything about this cent on any website. Does anyone know anything about this Canadian cent?

Never mind, I finally found it. I have been searching for information for a while and I just found it. -
Sheila I was just looking at that after you mentioned it. The Canadian coins varied quite a bit in weight, then when they eliminated the copper and just copper plated it the weight went down in 97-99 and back up in 2000. What did you find?
ugghhh.. then in 2013 the Canadian Mint melted down some 35 billion pennies!Last edited by VAB2013; 12-24-2017, 04:15 PM.Comment

1952-2002 coin in my wallet today. I noticed all the coins usually have a "P" stamped under the date of these coins. What does the no "P" stand for? Whats it worth?
It just has face value, nothing extra.
P = Plated Steel. Click on this link and go to the website. Then click on this article.Comment
