Stuff about me, if you care.

Apologies for not being as active as I would like. Been after bigger fish to fry. Writing about a lot more than just coins these days. On a side note, today I became the newest member of the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry. In case you are wondering; yes, I took the test with a hangover.

        Congratulations Will.
And thank you for joining because that means they still allow members from the US.

BTW- You read my mind because that was exactly what I was wondering?
(I know a very short book!)

Inspiring organization. Gives me hope for the future.

Congrats Will for reaching another great accomplishment as a new ISPE Member! You can do more with a hangover than most of us can do just trying to drink 8 glasses of water a day! We do care about you and miss you when you are away... but understand that you have other projects going on! I've always wondered this and never asked you... are you a natural born genius? Were your parents surprised to see that you were extremely smart as a child? Or did it happen to come about later on in your life?

Congrats Will. Quite an achievement my friend.
Life is not about greatness but on the impact of good onto others. It is a matter of how much one shines. Explains why I like shiny coins.

Ah, the old "Nature vs. Nurture" conundrum.

I was actually a good athlete growing up and concentrated more on that. I wanted to be an Olympic swimmer. Didn't quite make it. I was made fun of in my family for being smart, so I didn't work very hard at cultivating that. Never did homework, goofed off in class, aced the tests, which all added up to mediocre grades. lol. So, while the aptitude was always there, it is only recently that I really started to get involved in this kind of stuff.

Well I'm glad you have found your current interests and maintained a sense of humor. I know I have benefited.
Amazing what some encouragement and positive feedback can do for a person.
                      (Thanks for all you share.)

Thanks Will for answering my question! I remember you telling stories about being a swimmer, and that your son is following in your footsteps! And that you used to be a math tutor... I've always wondered if people with high IQ's have been found to have certain things in common... besides being smart!

So far the most common side-effects of high IQ that I have observed are drinking and atheism. Seriously.

Well you said seriously so I can't laugh... but I'm sure it's not easy being so smart! I'm not that smart and I get frustrated dealing with some people, especially at work... on a daily basis!
