That's very cool!! In circulated condition do you think it would pay off?

I'm guessing if it grades in the AU category it would garner a decent profit over the grading charge. The NGC and PCGS price guides are ridiculously overstated in the face of numerous lower auction prices, but at the same time, there are at least 9 uncertified/unslabbed Ebay sales in the past 30 days ranging from $92-$157. Granted that all these appear to be MS quality (at least with original luster), so it's a toss-up in my mind. Might do ok just posting it as-is on Ebay - it's certainly worth more than $1.

If you want to get it graded, Go to ANACS website for their submission instructions and download their submission form. Complete it and mail it in, but read the instructions carefully. Be prepared to wait 4-6 weeks before you get it back though. ANACS is not very quick with variety turnaround, but they are the less expensive than NGC and PCGS.

Thanks Kevin. Yah, from what I've been reading (just a few sites), people are more apt to buy if the coin is slabbed by PCGS. But then, I saw that ANACS deals more with coins that have errors/varieties, and they have been around for awhile. To me, if I was a collector for many years, I would look at the coin, no matter who attributed it. That's just my take on it. I will eventually go with Anacs.
