Yesterday I watched my favorite player throw a perfect game on TV. Did anyone else watch the game? It was only the 18th perfect game in Major League history- around 385,000 games!

Yeah I watched as he threw that perfect game against my team.
Oh well I still cheered him all through the 9th and that catch in the 9th was "Oh My God" good.
Congrads to Mark even if it was versus my team. History only happens a few times in ones life.

My freind and I were going crazy after that catch! Right when he hit it, I thought...well there goes that. It looked like a homerun for sure. Amazing catch considering the distance he had to run to get to it.Comment

Yeah, I was trying to watch NFL live and all of a sudden this Tampa Bay-Chicago game hijacks the dang TV.
Nah, first of all I am a Twins fan, so I was supposed to be rooting for Tampa Bay to get a hit...but I just couldn't do it. That was a great pitching perfomance from a humble guy and I was cool with that. EXCELLENT fielding in the 9th.
With that said, may the White Sox lose the rest of their games, lol.

I have been a huge baseball fan for most of my life. I went to my 1st game in 1959 to see the Cubs at Wrigley and have watched a lot of games since then. I'm one of those guys who loves "stats". I lost interest and de-sports myself around 1995 and haven't really kept up with it other than reading the occassional boxscore. I still love hearing about a new record being broke or I'll still keep an eye on a young player coiming up but thats about it.
It's funny when you look at those who have accomplished pitching perfect games, a lot of those pitchers were not your typical high profile, big buck pitchers but just good solid pitchers who unfortunately are all but unkown to many and easily forgotten. Wells, Cone, Rogers, Browning for example.
BTW, the Twins have been the victims of 3 of the 18 perfect pitched games, but who's counting? I have always admired and liked the Twins. Who wouldn't with past players like Harmon Killebrew, Rod Carew, Kirby Puckett, Paul Molitor and Dave Winfield (my favorite).
I don't care how lousy a team is playing..........there is nothing better than a day out at the ball park, rooting the teams along, the thrill of a double play or a home run.
Great stuff.
