1884 Indian Head- What's missing?

I had a similar thought about the wide rim, maybe it was lightly tapped then circulated another 50 years.

I wonder if the diameter is slightly big like can it easily fit into a cent folder or is it slightly bigger in diameter?

Weight is 2.8 g and diameter is 18.99 mm
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the tips of denticles not being visible except near the date.
There still seems to be enough height where they meet the field for them to be visible.

Check out the second ebay link I gave you, make sure you pull up the listing that has ended and don't go down to the new one they are trying to push. It looks just like yours, with the denticles showing only at the date.

I did not notice the denticles earlier... It looks like they may also be on the rev at the bottom??? Pic is a little blurry tho... Could this be a circ worn struck thru grease... That could explain the missing denticles???
