    1952 Half Penny

Found this while I was metal detecting... it was so ate up, I had to lightly clean with a dremel, just to see the reverse. I did make sure it wasn't worth anything before I did that lol You can kinda make out the date when you angle the coin in the light. I thought it was decent, for my first detecting find I have 2 acres of mine to check

Interesting. You will have fun with your detector in La. What brand do you have?
        British half penny?

Cool piddle toy 2 acres and so far a half penny not to bad... Maybe you'll find some lost pirate treasure... On your next find try some WD40... You may need to soak it for a while but it will save you a dremel bit The WD40 will loosen most all of the debri without eating up the metal... You can also use a childrens extra soft tooth brush to help!!!

You are always welcome... I have used the WD40 on a few real bad coins... It actually worked better than acetone... The reason I use a childrens extra soft tooth brush is the adults is harder... The bristles on a childs brush will give sooner when running up against a piece of hard debri!!!
