Thanks for re-taking the pics. I'm afraid I do not see any evidence of a DDO. Cliff asked if you could tell us exactly what and where you are seeing the doubling. We could still use that info. Thanks!Bob Piazza

Thanks for the followup images and description but I have to agree with Bob and Ed.
Nickels and clad frustrate me no end because of the MD all the time.Last edited by Petespockets55; 04-14-2019, 06:48 AM.Comment

I see exactly what you are talking about. However, you made a statement previously that confirms this may all be issues with the lighting...especially on this coin. Any time you see doubling in one direction, but turn the coin and the doubling seems to disappear, then it is most likely a lighting issue. In addition, the strength of the doubling would include some notching which is not visible. Very sorry, but this is not a doubled die.Bob Piazza

I think I can finally see what you are seeing. If it is indeed the top right of the letters, then that appears to be mechanical doubling. I can see it on just about all letters, but more noticeable on the OD of GOD and most letters on TRUST. I can also see some separation on the right side of the letters, and all of this looks like mechanical doubling where portions of the letter are 'shelf-like' and subtract from the true thickness of all the letters. I admire your tenacity, but this is not a hub DDO.Bob Piazza
